SANDAKPHU TREKKING SCHEDULE 2010

Programme Schedule of Sandakphu trekking

16^th oct : Boarding train from Kolkata station by 9.00 am. and reach NJP in the evening and transfer to the hotel.

17^th oct : Start from hotel at 5.00 am. by car and reach Manebhanjan (80km from Siliguri). After breakfast start trekking for Tumling (10098ft) and stay there in trekkers hut.

8^th oct :After breakfast start trekking for Kalipokhari (10257 ft) and stay there in trekkers hut.The route passes through the beautiful Singalila National Park.(Distance if 13km to be covered in 5hrs.)

19^th oct : After breakfast start trekking for Sandakphu (11992 ft). It takes about 4 hours to cover 6 km. We stay there in trekkers hut. This is the only place in India from where we get the fantastic view of Mount Everest.View stunning sunset on some of the mighty peaks like the Kanchenjuga,Makalu, Lohtse, Annapurna,Pandim and Siniolchu.

20^th oct : After breakfast start trekking for Tumling (15km from Sandakphu) and stay there in trekkers hut. We can enjoy camp fire if the climate is favourable .

21^st oct : After breakfast trek to Manebhanjan. After arriving take lunch in Manebhanjan and start for NJP by bus and stay in hotel.

22^nd oct : After breakfast boarding in train from NJP by 9.55 am. and reach Kolkata at about 7.30 pm.
